Periodontal Associates of Memphis

Periodontal Associates of Memphis was founded in 1969 by Drs. Miller and Ross, who were pioneers in the fields of periodontics and dental implant procedures. Many of the most modern and proven periodontics procedures in use today were developed in our office.

Today, our doctors carry on the tradition of providing first class periodontal care and dental implant placement. With over 50 years of combined experience, they are also committed to constant innovation, developing and providing the quality treatment options you deserve.

As a new patient, there are several things you can do to prepare for your first visit.

Explore our FAQ

We’ve collected many of the most frequently asked questions about periodontics, dental implants, and office procedures and created an exhaustive FAQ. If you have any questions or concerns that are not covered, please call our Memphis dental office and our knowledgeable and compassionate staff will be happy to answer your questions and help you plan your dental experience.

Schedule an Appiontment

We hold office hours from 7:30 to 5:00 Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 to 4:00 on Friday. If you have an emergency, we do our best to fit you in the same day. Visit our scheduling page to arrange your appointment.

Complete Forms in Advance

All of the forms we need to open your patient file are available for you to fill out in advance of your visit. You can fill them out online, or download, print, and fill them out by hand. Visit our registration forms page to access either option. Filling out these forms in advance helps streamline your first visit to our Memphis periodontal office.

Prepare for Your First Visit

We understand that your first visit to a new Memphis periodontist can generate a little bit of anxiety – especially if you haven’t seen a dentist in a while. We’ve created an informational page for your first visit to walk you through everything you can expect. It includes a list of everything you’ll need to bring, and lets you know what we can do to ease your anxiety, including sedation dentistry options. Our goal is to make every patient visit a positive experience!

Financial Options

Our practice is proud to offer comprehensive periodontal and dental implant services in Memphis. We provide a wide range of financial options for our patients to help them manage their dental care. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards. We also file claims with most major forms of dental insurance and offer financing through GreenSky, CareCredit, and Lending Club.

The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment options before you begin, so that you can make the best choice for you.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance policies often provide some form of coverage periodontal treatment. Please bring all dental benefit information and cards to your examination appointment. Upon request, we will submit a claim to predetermine your insurance benefits; however, this is not required by most insurance companies.

As a courtesy to our patients with dental benefit plans, we submit necessary claim forms, clinical documentation, and other information to your insurance company. Upon receipt of an insurance payment, any balance due will be billed to you; if you have deposited an over-payment, it will be refunded to you.

Most dental insurance policies are limited. Your coverage may only pay for a portion of the procedure(s) to treat your dental problems. Dental “benefit plans” are not insurance, and normally offer “discounts” only at participating dental practices. Medicare also does not cover most dental procedures.

Dental Financing

If you require dental work but are uninsured or underinsured, you can obtain financing via GreenSky, CareCredit, or Lending Club. CareCredit is a credit card approved exclusively for use to obtain health and dental care. You can apply for CareCredit online before your first visit and take advantage of a low monthly payment plan that allows you to get the dental care you need right away.
