This helps in comfort as well as prevention of bone loss with conventional extraction techniques. Commonly when teeth are removed and dental implants are planned to replace teeth, a ridge (socket) preservation procedure is necessary to provide adequate support for the implant long term. By using these specialized techniques, commonly we can place dental implants the same day teeth are removed. In some instances, an abutment and temporary crown or temporary bridge can be placed on the implant(s), this allows you to walk out of the office with a new tooth/ teeth on the same day the dental implants are placed.
